Cengage Learning National Account Coordinator in Clifton Park, New York


The National Account Coordinator will be responsible for the operational/tactical support of the National Account Managers and their customers. This position will require the individual to act independently, and effectively make decisions in supporting the sales objectives of Cengage Learning. This role will include direct customer contact and communication.


This role will include sales administration and sales analysis responsibilities. The NAC will be a key contact for vendors, sales and marketing operations, product teams, customer service, credit department, etc. as needed. They will provide day to day support of the Channel Partners (i.e. product sampling, appointment follow-up, general office support) as well as develop and manage sales tools and initiatives as identified by the NAM, including, but not limited to, backorder reports, sell-thru reports, market share reports, forecasts, and preparation of sales materials and business review presentations. Working with marketing, product and Channel Partners, this position will help manage the coordination and participation in key account coop marketing programs. The NAC will also regularly audit and ensure data integrity with our Channel Partners and attend Channel Partner and Bookseller Association tradeshows as needed.


Basic (Required)

  • Four year degree

  • 1-2 years of experience required in a customer service, sales, or marketing capacity in a publishing environment.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.

  • Strong skills in organizing and prioritizing.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Ability to learn and use internal operating systems including.

  • Ability to travel as required.


  • Ability to perform advanced spreadsheet analysis using Excel. Analytical/problem-solving abilities.
